An immersive communal listening experience designed to deepen connection through music, storytelling, & intentional listening. The evening begins with a restorative sound bath grounding session before guests move through a series of curated genre-based vinyl listening stations spanning soul, jazz, hip-hop, house, R&B, & beyond.

Through guided listening prompts, conversation, reflection, & shared musical discovery, the experience encourages attendees to engage with music beyond passive consumption, using sound as a pathway into memory, culture, nostalgia, & community connection.

An evening of vinyl selections celebrating the lineage, influence, & evolution of Black music in honor of Black Music Month & Juneteenth.

Join Zoë Veranda at The Travel Agency Co., NY’s elevated luxury cannabis dispensary boutique, for an R&B-centered vinyl set moving through the sounds, stories, rhythms, & records that continue to shape culture across generations. From foundational classics to contemporary favorites, the evening explores Black music as memory, movement, resistance, celebration, & connection.

Set within an intentionally designed retail & cultural space, guests can expect soulful selections, deep cuts, familiar records, & an atmosphere rooted in community, reflection, discovery, & sound.

LINER NOTES - THE Communal PRactice: SESSION XVi

SESSION XVI marks the return of the club with the relaunch of our flagship programming, an evening rooted in music, memory, & intentional listening. The experience centers around a communal vinyl show & tell alongside a themed open discussion where the panel is the audience & the audience is the panel.

Guests are invited to bring records connected to the evening’s theme, along with the stories, memories, perspectives, & emotions attached to them. Through vinyl, reflection, storytelling, & dialogue, the room becomes a shared listening experience shaped collectively in real time around connection, cultural exchange, & community through sound.
